Summary The physiological parameters determining the energy budget of the four mussel groups (FBP, SBP, FAP and SAP) when fed each of the four experimental diets (HL, HH, LL and LH)
Description In the present file the standardized physiological parameters that determine the energy budget (Clearance rate, Organic ingestion rate, absorption efficiency, absorption rate, oxygen consumption and scope for growth) of the fast- and slow- growing mussels reared under conditions below and above the pseudofaeces threshold when fed four different experimental diets (Hl, Hh, Ll and Lh) are shown. Since mussels formed pseudofaeces when were fed the Lh diet, the required additional physiological parameters (organic filtration rate, rejection proportion, selection efficiency, organic rejection rate, organic content of the ingesta) were measured to compute the scope for growth.
